Default GL permission

Good day fellow Hunters!

I’m in a predicament. I’ve been trying to get ahold of permission to access a grazing lease. The registered owner must of left the country because for the last 10 days, I’ve been calling multiple times a day and don’t ever get a response. Multiple attempts to gain permission . The GL consists of three quarter sections.
Does anyone have another strategy to try . I’m not a fan of trespassing and prefer to play by the rules. Why isn’t the registered owner acknowledging these attempts ?

Any responses are greatly appreciated.

Thank you folks and stay safe!

Get ahold of the lease manager and let them know what you have done. They will either give you permission or try and get ahold of the lease holder and get back to you .

You did your due diligence. Phone back one more time and leave a message you will be accessing the lease as per his set out conditions on such and such a date. Guaranteed you’ll get a call back.

Hi Shawn,

How would I find the “manager” contact info?

Thanks for the response BTW.

Thanks for that link Shawn. Ironically, got another answering machine - we'll see if they call back. Trying to scope out acceptable hunting spots never gets easy, does it? lol

if you are using the governments lease land access tool webpage, i find that most of the listed leaseholders are not even the current ones. very little updating seems to happen on that page and you very well be calling the wrong person without really knowing it.

I was in the same situation. Been calling even left a message, no response. I don’t trespass, won’t even think about crossing the fence even if it’s leased land, it just wouldn’t feel right. Finally yesterday I got a hold of them.

I called three times to a guy and he wouldn’t return my calls, so I sent him an email with the dates and then I went and hunted. If he didn’t want me in there he should’ve responded. I did my part, he needs to do his.
