Sure!
Small rifle match primers- CCI or Federal both work in my experience
6mmBR brass- I already have 50 new.
Bullets such as Sierra Match Kings, Hornady ELDM's, Lapua Scenars, et., from 100 to 108 grains.
Thanks!

don’t overlook cci 450’s in 6br; all of mine have thrived on them.

Actually I haven't found much that WON'T work in the 6mmBR!

The barrel is chambered and fitted to the receiver .The base had to be drilled and counter bored as the holes were out 1/2 hole from the receiver holes . A hole had to be drilled and tapped on the rear of the receiver to mate the base . Only thing left is to polish up the barrel and engrave and it can be sent back to Cat

That is great! Can't wait to see it, and see how it shoots.

Going to finish up some test ammo this afternoon for it !
Going to be interesting and fun for sure!
Fps plus also took the time to jewel the bolt after he trurd everything up, it's going to be a pretty spiffy looking rig methinks!

So the AO long range build is done and ready to be sent back to Cat .

-The barrel tenon was cutoff rethreaded for a Mauser 98 pattern
- chamber was cut for 6mm Norma BR . It’s is ever so slightly different than Remingtons version of the cartridge.
- bolt was cleaned , trued , lapped , jewelled ( engine turned)
- the one piece base plate holes did not mate with the rear receiver holes . The base plate was milled , drilled and counter bored for a new matching hole that had to be drilled and tapped on the receiver
-barrel was recrowned and engraved for caliber designation
- tested fired
Hopefully I can get it packaged and sent tomorrow .
Thx to everyone that has supplied for the AO Build
.

I’m glad I had the opportunity to help AO out .

This is FYI for guys that wonder about how much time it takes to complete work on such a project .
To disassemble the bolt clean and jewel 1 hour

To set bolt up in lathe , true , lap and clean up compound from bolt and receiver 1 hour .

To remove old barrel , calculate headspace, set up in lathe , chamber , thread , crown , screw on receiver and engrave 5.5 hours . Sometimes jobs go a little faster or slower. This one was right on average as to what I would expect.

The chamber on this rifle is a 6mm Norma Benchrest. It is a few thousandths smaller on the body than the Remington version as well as a longer throat . My reamer is a JGS .

Well done by all involved. The engraving on the barrel is very well done. Maybe fps plus will tell us if he uses a template or stencil to get the lettering so uniform and evenly spaced.

Default Initial range report !

Well, conditions were lousy today but I went out anyway to try the rifle
Snow and windy ,but I bore sighted and was on steel in three rounds , then shot three into about 1/2 MOA
I then dialed up for 300 meters, and after a sight correction was zeroed
I turreted over a bit and put three on the steel again at about
1/2 MOA.
Not really a thoroughly scientific procedure but considering the conditions I happy with the initial testing
Trigger is set at 32oz.
Load was 29.5 grains thrown on my Harrel measure , with the bullets set at the original length I asked fps plus to chamber at - 1.840 to the ogive on a Hornady 105 BTHP .
However I elected to use 105 A Max's as that is what was handy at the time .
I didn't do any load adjusting yet , so things are very promising for this rifle!
The Tasco scope worked well even though some think they are a waste of money !
Added a pic of the group, yoi can see the aiming point at 2 1/2"on to the left

Default another range update

Had the AO rifle out to the range again today after some more bedding .
had to re-zero at 300 meters and check the OAL of the cartridges, but after that was sorted out I put three into a nice tight group at 300.

We then went long, and I got a shooter behind it that put three into a nice group about 1 1/4 " at 600 meters!
I then ran five at a time out to 1,000 meters and ended up with 5 about 1 MOA on the steel.
I didn't take any pics of the longer ranges because others were shooting on the steel at the same time, but next time out I will make sure we can get pics.
The little cartridge has a bit of a time with the big wind when we get way out there , so I was quite happy.
More filling of gaps in the stock tonight, and building up a loading ramp in the stock.

EDIT NOTE: The scope is a 1/8MOA , and with every click of the turret I was fearing it would run out of elevation, but the 1" Tasco performed like a champ all the way to 1,000 meters!
Two young fellas will get behind it this Sunday, that should be fun!
