I was mostly doing small venue punk rock gigs in the 80's but for stadium shows Alice Cooper and Aerosmith was probably my faves. Went to a bunch which were bands I wasn't so much into as I was into the girls who were wanting to go haha! Def Leppard, Bon Jovi and the other hair bands of the day were always good for a night on the town.

Def Leopard, Hysteria tour. The Coliseum rocked. Kiss & Van Halen's Reunion tours, very good. David Bowie was great. Motley Crue had some great shows. First concert was the Scorpions at the coliseum, I think their second album before they went big, didn't even know who they were. A friend had an extra ticket. Was the start of a wonderful 80's music journey.

It is said that Scott helped write a lot of those songs????? Imagine losing Bon and within a few months having Brian Johnson is the fold . Release B and B as his first crack at vocals. I think Back in Black has sold around 60 million copies!!!!
Bon or Brian???? tough choice for me

Yes I I seen that too on a documentary that most of those songs were Bon Scott's but at least his family gets the royalties I believe

Supertramp at McMahon Stadium I think 1979. John cougar Mellencamp Northlands Collisium 1984. Two of my all time favourites.

Not a concert but in the 70’s the first fox hunt at Speedway Race Track in North Edmonton. Women got in free. Coolers of booze in the stands , joints being passed down the rows of bleachers , guys urinating off the back of the grandstands because of huge line ups at the toilets. 7 streakers running down the tracks.. oh and drag racing as the main event. What a zoo. And very little police presence back then.

Angel City - Night Attack tour at the coliseum back in the early 80's was a rocking show. They kind of disappeared after a couple of good albums. They were called The Angels in Australia but had to use a different name for some reason when in the USA and Canada. They don't show up in any searches of coliseum concerts but I was there and got the T shirt!

By 1980 I was married with kids on the way, no time to consider concerts for many years! But before that:
1969 Deep Purple - Kinsmen Fieldhouse
1969 Led Zeppelin & Vanilla Fudge - Kinsmen Fieldhouse
1970 Guess Who - Jubilee Auditorium
1971 Procol Harum & the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra (Conquistadore) - Jubilee Auditorium
1972 Jethro Tull - Edmonton Gardens
1974 Santana
1975 Queen - Kinsmen Fieldhouse
then when I got back into it-
1994 Rolling Stones - Commonwealth Stadium
1997 Rolling Stones - Commonwealth Stadium
2019 Sabaton - Calgary, The Palace Theater
