2019 Pronghorn Pics
Went for a quick cruise tonight and found this little up and comer. Also noticed some of the mule deer have about 6" of antler.

I saw this guy in the middle of April. he has a big head on him and a nice start for length. my guess is he will put on a couple of inches on the bottom and turn out to be a good one I'm thinking. He has the shape you want, with good bases and bigger 2nd measurements. Prongs are nice as well. good top mass.

Not sure how exactly they did in general, but I'm seeing more around the area I hunt more than last year. Saw a group of about 11, a trio of bucks, a buck with doe and two little ones, and a couple loner bucks. Saw that in one day out.

FWIW, the Bio last year said to me that the SE part of the province had a major kill off from the severe winter conditions. the further north you went the less impact the weather had in 2018 on antelope populations.

My thoughts exactly when I opened this. Is he coming or going?,seems t o be everywhere, lol....Beauty photos in both threads though. I wish I could find the time to get out and scout for what this great province has to offer more often.

Here's one more. The Ram pics and the pronghorn pics were taken a week apart.

This guy here peaks my interest. Come October he'll be one to watch for. Sorry about the picture quality as he was off a fare distance.

Awesome to see the pics! Hopefully numbers are looking good out there this spring.
Love those critters and the country they run around in!

I saw more than normal when I was down last week. More herded up than same time last year and not as many solo/duo bucks.

Love seeing all the Lope pictures now just need to figure out what zone to draw for Archery Antelope!!! Living 8Hrs from the closest lope zone makes it tough to scout that's forsure...

Here's a side view of the last pic. I tried changing the lighting on the camera and it still didn't help the pic quality.

When they shed, how much is left of the pedicel after ?
I’ve never seen them in the wintertime myself

They continually grow and the new horn pops the old horn off and I'd say 2-3" of new horn when they pop off.
