Default required info on your traps & snares

Hope I can get a straight answer.
I was told that you have to tag your traps & snares with your WIN #or trappers licence #.
I have checked the regulations several times and cannot find the part where it says you are required to, the local C.O. couldn't point me to the correct page either.
Maybe I am blind or need new glasses??

Thanks
Phil

I don't think ID tags have ever been required on traps in Alberta and they are no longer required on snares, as of about 4 years ago.

Yeah, it was in an old set of regs that I got off the net, the new regs have no such requirement.

Default tags

When they were required , it was for the "resident trapper" , and not the registered trapper. Am not sure of todays regs. regarding this, as I'm a registered trapper but I do know that a friend of mine was "talked" to about his taking coyotes on farm land. This was several years ago.
