Might be a "duh" question but I'm new to the area & just getting back into flyfishing after a long (too long!) gap. Had a look at the Dogpound west of Didsbury today - some nice looking stretches but water rather murky. However - it was the abundance of shells around that intrigued me - almost looked like mussels? Can anyone educate me?
