Default Affordable trout set up

I'm looking for something affordable but still quality wise also

Set up I'm looking for is 9' 4 piece 4 weight

Are the scientific angler rod reel combos any good?

Most reputable brands have fine combo's .SA is a reputable brand . Pluger medalist combos will catch fish just a well as an orvis combo .
I use warranty to judge good from also ran . Research , lots of research. I have a dragon fly 4wt tfo nxt series 1 with a cortland 444 wf line 80 $ for the lot. two years in the making. Read lots spend little.

If that is your budget ,the inexpensive Cabela's combos are well reviewed on their website.
And for under $200 you can get a package with flies, and other useful tools and gadgets , which you will need anyhow.

Good luck.

If you are a first time fly fisher I'd get something heavier than a 4 wt. rod. A 5wt or 6wt will give you more versatility for most of the waters round here. I'd get a 4 if I already owned a 6.
