Until you google the number of airports in good old US of A (5200+) . Now it's suddenly less than 1 firearm per airport in 10 months. Given, the airport in town of Armpit, Nebraska gets magnitudes less traffic than LAX, but still. Sensationalism at it's finest.

My bad, just noticed it's on CNN. Aren't CNN and CBC like twin brothers?

It’s crazy that that many people feel compelled to bring a gun… in a carryon bag onto a plane.
Number per airport isn’t really the issue. On a per flight basis… it’s tiny. However it comes down to people being hugely forgetful or just plain dumb. What would be interesting is how many were prosecuted to a conviction.
Watching border security shows… you see Americans coming to Canada and not declaring a firearm. Usually they deny it’s there until it’s found and they claim they forgot or oddly enough to to CBS that they have a permit and the right as an American to carry the gun.
The good ones come to the border… pre filled out all the paperwork. Guns are counted and verified and they are on their way.
