Default Vortex Spotters

Vortex® Razor HD 11-33x50 Spotting Scope
Or
Vortex® Viper HD 15-45x65mm Spotting Scope

I’m not a sheep hunter, mostly hunt southern Alberta for elk and deer
I like the size and weight of the razor but worry about the 50 mm compared to the 65mm of the viper.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Were you looking to get something compact? Is that why you've narrowed it down to those sizes?
My spotting scope is a 20-60X80mm and I find it works well so going down to something in the range you are looking at is definitely going to impact performance and light gathering capability.
I'm not packing it around however so the comparison is likely unfair.

Default My vote would be the viper.

I have the 20x48 65mm Razor but the viper was a contender. the baby razor is about the same glass as the viper hd. If you're spending any time on a hill side I suggest the angled eye piece. more comfortable and adjustable.

I would be looking at the Kowa WAAAAAY before ever looking at the vortex, but that is me.

The compact TSN 554 or the slightly larger TSN 663. You might pay a bit more for the Kowa compared to the vortex, but you will be happier in the end.
