Unhappy Plane crash Hope BC

A friend of mine from Lloydminster, his 35 year old partner have just left their 7 kids behind.

I just talked to him a couple days ago, was saying how much he loved his Cessna 182, and he was flying a lot.

Deepest condolences to family and friends.

BC RCMP NEWS RELEASE:
RCMP CORRECTION TO INDICATE BOTH VICTIMS ARE FROM LLOYDMINSTER

RCMP in Hope BC are reporting two Lloydminster residents have been killed in a plane crash north of that community.
A police statement says the small Cessna aircraft with two occupants crashed yesterday, and the wreckage was located this morning.
According to police, the victims are a 40 year old man and 35 year old woman, both from Lloydminster.
The Transportation Safety Board and BC Coroner Service are continuing their investigations into the crash.
Names are not being released at this time.

Son of a gun Ken, this is terrible news. 7 children is a whole lot of heart ache to tackle. All the best to family, friends and of course the kids. So, so saddening.

I'm still in shock over this.
I talked to him 2 days ago, he had just landed.
He was saying he was doing regular flights to GP and talking about all the time he was saving.
As soon as I heard 40 year old pilot from Lloydminster it was just a cold shiver down my back.

This sucks.

Condolences to the family especially the children. I can't help but think of Jason Peterson from Wild TV fame. I do believe he bought a plane to help with his outfitting and TV shows and ended up crashing and loss of his life. Left a young family.

Terrible news Ken. Being a flying family for most of my life it really hits home. I'm wondering if he hit some of the crazy weather happening around there?
