Costner can't and never has been able to act worth a lick and if that's ranch life in Montana? Lol. As if. About as real a depiction as Alaskan Bush People is of homesteading in Alaska.

LOL...Like they are going to tape a season to fit actual calving time. It's a movie and take it for what it's worth.

Yah that’s the season 3 finale you watched. Hard to start a show when you start at the last episode they’ve made....

As a retired Firefighter/Paramedic, if I turned off every tv or movie that depicts firefighting/EMS I wouldn’t watch anything as it’s all poorly/inaccurately portrayed. Enjoy it for what it is, entertainment.

Costner is act good in this because he plays a quasi "badguy".

The show would be boring without all the "drama".

I call it a highly polished nighttime soap.

I would call it Dallas for this generation.

The scenery and supporting cast are great.

8 out of 10.

Jeez. What did I miss? More branding of people. More hanging ranchhands from 2 spreads over? More mid day shootouts? No cops in Montana I guess. Too damn funny.

Dallas in the mid 70's was a better portrayal of ranch life than this schlock. Come to think of it Green Acres was a better portrayal of rural life. And, Arnold the Pig was a better actor than Kevin Costner.

From an entertainment standpoint it's one of the better shows I've watched recently. I enjoy the cast and the chaos lol

Costner rocks!! I just watched Water World for like the 23rd time today. Smoke ‘em if you got ‘em...

The Postman kind of sucked though. Even Tom Petty couldn’t save that one.

I don't remember which movie it was now, but they were shooting a western out by Calgary and the call was out for extras. Buddy of mine figure he would give it a try so he heads down there. When he gets to the casting call table the lady says "Can I help you with something?" "I'm here to apply for the call for extras." "How did you get through costuming without applying first?" Buddy was a little offended because he had put his go to town clothes on that day.

The show was a little too over the top for me. I couldn't watch it after the first few episodes. Kevin Costner's daughter drove me crazy.

As much as I’d hate to have someone like her in my life, she’s one of my favourite characters. Like I said, I enjoy watching the chaos lol

Default ****spoiler alert do not read if you dont want to find out****

They just put all the episodes on Expressvu, I crushed the series over christmas. 10 FF clicks to get pas the same commercials 500x, and had it timed pretty good. You can watch an entire episode in about 35 minutes.

Dutton is as dirty as they come, there is nothing at all clean about him or his family. Kayce is the only one that may have kept his hands clean for a while. Apparently according to the show everyone in Montana is corrupt, it is hard to imagine the show is still on the air. If "you can throw a boomerang in a little dirty bar and hit 5 billionaires" you would think they are not really happy about this crap being aired, as it likely happened something like they are portraying.

I could not determine if it was a rally cry for indians, which I still think it is, has HEAVY advertising for FN channels, or if someone really hated the life because they are sure not pulling any punches when it comes to reserve life or corrupt leaders.

There were some truly funny scenes, like the bull in the bar. Priceless.
There were some horrific scenes too, Tate in the bathroom, wow that was terrible to watch.

I like Costner, and he did a good job in this movie. I was dreading Cole Hauser because he always plays the exact same wooden actor in everything he is in, but Costner's direction turned him a full 180 in this, I think he was one of the most interesting characters in the entire show. You really had to look twice to see Hauser behind the hair dye and fat face. He must have pounded on 50lbs.

Another one that really took a second, or 412th look was Teeter. Wow did they change her! I thought they dragged some louisina hillbilly up for her, but she is actually an award winning actress! Well done!

June is a long way off

Ya, the Corriente fighting bull let loose in the bar was pretty funny. They had some really good bull fighters in there for that scene.

I wonder how many retakes they had to do of that.....

I think most people here in Montana recognize it for what it is, Hollywood entertainment. Not far off on the boomerang comment though... way too many richy riches moving here driving real estate past what a common person can afford and trying to change Montanan values!

We have Amazon Prime so may give it a shot. I liked Lonesome Dove. Maybe this is similar?

Soap opera for men hits the nail on the head. Entertaining I suppose.

Not even comparable to Lonesome Dove.
