Default 2020 Keeps Getting Weirder

So, I went to check my mail today at the mall in GP, I rent a box at the Shoppers Drug Mart. When I tried to go in, an employee stopped me and said I would have to go in the mall entrance as there had been an 'incident'.

Ok. Figured somebody got caught shoplifting or had a seizure maybe. So I went around to the mall entrance. And inside there were 3 rent-a-cops keeping a perimeter so you couldn't walk close to the Shoppers....what? Must be serious. And then I looked in the display window. And there it was.

A coyote. An unhappy looking one at that. And nobody had seen it come in, or knew how it got there.

I told the rental cop I had some coyote medicine in my vehicle as I had just come from the gun range, and would deal with it, but he did not approve. I think he just had Sig envy.

Anyway. As I was leaving, two Fish Cop trucks came blazing into the parking lot with light bars flashing. So much excitement.

I got a couple crappy pictures, they wouldn't let me close (Jesus, it's just a coyote!!)....but here they are. Probably will make the news ahead of the latest Trudeau scandal.

I think he was there for the flu shot.

The hotel i worked at had a black bear walk into the office and stand on the chairs. Happens to animals sometimes. Could sick or curious the problems is they often don't get how to get out.

Probably just picking up his shipment of TNT, or art supplies to paint a railway tunnel on the side of a mountain. Was it the Roadrunner that jump out of the fish cop truck?

I'm curious if the Fish Cops will release it out of city limits....or drop an anvil on it?

Got an unofficial update on the coyote. Apparently the Mall Cops saw it in parking lot, and tried to chase it away. Hence, it ended up inside the mall.

That's what $15 an hour buys you.

A black bear ended up in the Valleyview IGA. It's those self opening doors.

We had a meter long brown snake come into reception at the office a few years ago. Might of been looking for a job but we didn’t ask.

isn't law enforcement protocol to drive a vehicle over it?

hilarious the perception of wild canines. I remember watching that hunting show someone posted and the guy commenting about having to "protect" his guides from wolves (while he rolled his eyes). Meanwhile there have been around 2 people killed by wolves in the last 100 years in North America

That is specific to Lethbridge. Their patrol vehicles are specifically equipped with a heavier skid plate and beefed up suspension. Also, better sound proofing so you don't have to hear the squealing.

For years I've been barstool-engineering the concept of vehicle bumpers with integrated rapid-actuated pinball flipper type features. Two to the front and two at the sides. For coyotes of course, yeahhhh, coyotes. That's the ticket! Coyotes

Sept. 17 2007
A black bear walked into the Rockyview Hospital by stepping on the automatic door pad.
Alberta Sustainable Resources doubted the bear was there ‘for the hospital food!’

Got a chuckle as my sister & her daughter, visiting for a week, were out in Banff & Jasper Parks and were disappointed they never got to see a bear!

I seen that episode, I don’t think it worked though! Hahaha. Good old days.

The LCP are not only great at dispatching wounded wildlife, they are also fantastic at disarming Star Wars Troopers (no one needs a space blaster) then tackling them to the ground in order to arrest them....We feel very safe and well served by the cops here.
