Soo lucky Vigneault is an absolute idiot!! Before I even knew if Roberto was going to be pulled or not I said to my buddies, he better not pull him, there is still a minute 19 left...but the ******* does it anyway...idiot!! Should of kept him in until we won the draw....I think I should be hired as coach

well....pretty good game...even though the flames lost....grrrr...silly play by boulin...oh well.

i must say...i can really see a difference in the style of the oilers, the attitude and the systems they are playing...and it is working. once they get used to it and settle in they will be much much better. good game...calgary has great puck control i will give them that for sure.

good on gags and conny for throwing them for all of us to enjoy!! haha

I guess bulin can officially call himself a "soiler" now

Not a good first impression by Bulin. It was a good game either way, but it would have been nice if the Oilers could have at least got 1 point.

The fight was a little cheesey, but at least Gagne is making it known that he doesn't want to be on the 4th line.

I find it ironic that alot of Oiler fans used to get on Roli for playn the puck so much....

decent enough game but lots of glaring mistakes by both clubs...Flames look good Iggy better get it going or it could be a long season....I agree once the Oilers settle down a bit they should be competitive.......loved the punch up between Conroy and Gagner lol

yup that was a gooder hahaha.....i was surprised how much i saw ryan stone and jfj making good plays rather than hemmer, horc or moreau....some good youngsters on that team i really think the new coaching staff will have a difference.

why would you play a puck that would be icing anyways??? oh well....

When that puck hit the net.. I yelled out HOLY #%%#.

lucky lucky lucky.

But it made up for the lucky bounce the oilers got on the their last goal.

I thought Ed out hit Calgary, but then I only saw the last period or so.

It's going to be a good season. I get to go to the MTL game

out hit and out shot..which is new ground for the oilers in the last 3 years. again i hate the loss but i am encouraged by the effort. finally penner realizes that he is a hockey player.

You're basing this on, what, two games? Every goalie can $%#@ the bed. To say Kippers awesome and Luongo is useless is just being ignorant.

Luongo vs Kipper lifetime stats

While Mika is a stellar goalie, Kippers last half of last season put him at almost last place in the GAA and SV% dept. His last two games is a 3.00 and .924, nothing to write home about.
Two games into the season means absolutely nothing. Calgary won 2 games against Van last year too...just happend to lose the other 4 While I will never say Vancouver is better than Calgary (After all, Flames have a cup!!!! ) to hear Flames fans constantly brag that their team is SO much better than the Canucks, when, in the past 20 years, Flames have only advanced past the first round ONCE...while Vancouver's done so 6 times. Calgary's performance since their '04 has been dismal to say the least considering the talent on that team. Iggy was mediocre at best, last year..and so far, this year, I haven't noticed him out there at all. Phaneuf (a player I highly respect) has yet to prove himself as an intelligent NHL defencemen. He loses his temper and puts himself out of position FAR too often. Kipper also needs to stay off the 'nose candy' (personal knowledge) and be more consistent.

All that being said...Vancouver has played like crap their first two games. Sedins and Burrows can't figure out their cycling to save their lives and the D aren't communicating out there. Still I think the Van/Calg head to head series will be exciting to say the least.

That was a great game last night. Calgary is playing pretty good...but still that tendency to "sit back" with a lead. Both games could've gone the other way. The best game so far this year was the first Toronto/Montreal game. That game was faster than playoff hockey!! fantastic game.

Nope based it on the Oct. 01 2009 game...... Oh and the nose candy comment (Rumor) is a joke, you would honestly believe the Sutter Boys would keep him around if that were true...don't think soooo...

believe what you will....a close friend of mine is a pro player. You'd be surprised how common that is. Its not tested for unless a player starts to miss showing up for games. The general public has no idea the actual "insides" of "the show".

I hope bulin is just showing us how terrible he can be, and that it is all uphill from here.

The 3rd goal was iffy, but I'll take it. Nice to see Oli put one in the net.

BB416 is probably looking for his soother in camp somewhere listening on the radio!

The Oilers need to stop collapsing so much in the last minute.

Hopefully Souray won't be out long.... that's a big loss.

Yeah, that was a pretty bad crash into the boards. Hate to see hits like that. Iggy tried to avoid making it worse, but momentum has consequences. Found it neat that when he fought just after he let the oilers captain back onto his feet before resuming the fight.

I'm timekeeper for the SAIT Trojan's home opener tommorrow night, hope it goes well and I can remember what the heck I'm doing!
