Is it just me or does Martin looks relatively surprised and not set at all on the last couple of Oiler's goals? You'd think in playoff hockey, being paid what he does, you'd be ready all the time, unless its just me....

Tough to square up on a broken play I guess.

Could be worse... they could have Elliot between da pipes....

He he!

You have to be lucky to be good. Talbot played great but there was a few bounces that could have went the Sharks way. Other than a few hard outside shots and a couple breaks by McDavid the Sharks and Jones kept us to the outside. Was a much more even game then game 2 and game 4 should be execellent. Oilers were much better on the penalty side of things.

How about Klefbaum missing open net from centre ice.

He had several good scoring chances last night. Finish is a little off but he was definitely involved. McDavid is being shadowed pretty close. Maroon's fortunes go hand in hand with McDavid's ability to create opportunities.

Or the fact that he hasn't taken morning skate in three weeks. Most likely an injury.
Notice how he turns down every opportunity for a hit?

We're saving the big guns (maroon, McJesus, Luuucic!) for the Anaheim round.

That's all.

Sharks got 10 minutes of gusto... then it's break out the Geritol time.
Them old timers can't keep pace.

You buncha hater nit-pickers.

It's ok .... lots o room onthe wagon fer ya next round!

I'm Savin shotgun fer Rio

Interesting part is McDavid doesn't even have to be scoring to be making a huge impact in any game he plays in. Sharks always running at least one guy, and sometimes double coverage on McDavid, and if he's skating into the o-zone with the puck, all eyes are on McDavid. This seriously opens the ice up for the other guys on his line.

Sharks also making a serious effort to have Braun and Vlasic on the ice when McDavid is. That is the Sharks' shutdown d-line, and it means that the Oil 2nd/3rd lines aren't facing nearly as tough of D, giving them a lot more opportunity to put in some work (and although hasn't paid dividends yet, that 2nd line is going pretty good).

I didn't care. I would of been ****ed if he was hurt. Next to McDavid he is arguably our second most important player. The subtle nature of his game, No one can turn a puck up the ice on the backend like him.

The importance of players on the Oil is the following:

1. Talbot
2. McDavid
3. Klef
4. Sekera
5. Draisaitl

I also want to add that I think Sekera is the most criminally underrated player for the Oil. Only missed three regular season games in the two seasons he has played for the Oil, solid defensively, put up two very respectable 30 pt seasons. Absolute work horse. Very tough to replace that kind of guy.

I heard McDavid is scared of the dark. Maroon holds his nightlight.
