Default POKER!

Ok, With the game of TEXAS HOLDEM sweeping the nation I was thinking that perhaps we should hold a game.
Perhaps Tourny Format?
We could have it at my house here in Calgary.
People would be welcome to bring some Wild game so that we could have a bit of a BBQ or we order pizza.

Let me know if your interested I was thinking in perhaps 3 weeks. We could throw a Playoff game on the big screen.

Post up if your interested. Friends are welcome.
Buy ins would be $20 or $30 a Tourny. We could have 3 or 4 Tournys in a night.
We all chip in $10 and I will get all the Pizza, Beer, Pop, Chips,Ice, Snacks ECT I suppose I have a few bottles sitting around gathering dust as well.

I hope we can put this together.
Rack you want to make a trip up from the South?
Edmonton Fans are welcome also.. I guess you could wear your gear, but you do so at your own risk :lol :lol :lol

Could be fun. A chance to meet some people. I am looking forward to it.

Thanks
Jamie

I was thinking as many as we get. I can hold up to 3 tables in my house. But I doubt we will hit that amount. Even if we get 6 people that would be enough.
Remember friends are welcome.

I would throw this thing next weekend, but we are off on our holiday. Perhaps the next weekend. What works for everyone else? Perhaps we need to have it during the week?

Thanks
Jamie

Depending on the night I would be in for sure sounds like fun! Not much of a poker player but I am sure someone would be happy to take my money.

Jamie keep us up to date on the night you are thinking of having it unless my wife has us doing a family thing I am in for sure!
Great Idea,

I will set firm dates that week.
Hopefully we have some nice weather and we can do a bit of a BBQ.

I think that weekend will work best. (April 20 or 21)
If anyone is interested please Email me at jamiehunt(nospam)@shaw.ca
I will post a list of who is in and who is not. Please advise your preference to which night works the best and we will take the majority.

Format will be $20 per tourney. Blinds will go up fairly quickly and we will try and get in as many tourneys as we can.
If the weather is nice we can fire up the grill and get some sausages burning and of course there will be more than a few wobbly pops available to those that want them. I would have liked to have the Flames game on, but it looks like we will have to watch some other game. Smokers are welcome/Cigars are expected
Once again invite your friends. I live in South part of Calgary

Only post up if you’re sure you can make it. If you say you’re in, I will plan on you being here. If your plans have to change, just let me know a day or so in advance.

Jamie

As long as the house is not taking in a rake or betting against players with increased odds is perfectly legal.

Because thats when the govt wants their cut of the profit.

hahaha Illegal Poker game.

I am sure the cops will be bashing the door in on $20 poker game in a house with a handful of guys. What do you think the rake would be on that call it maybe 10% on money played...6 guys total bets $120 = a $12 rake...Think of your family Jamie do you want to spend the rest of your life in the clink for a $12 rake...or take the rake and get the guys a bag of chips.

Nahhh
No rake, unless you get knocked out early. Then you can go pick up up the leaves in the backyard.

Serriously, no cost to anyone, just pitch in for the pizza. You know on second thought forgett about it. I am the host and thats exactly what I will do.
Pizza/Beer/Chips/Nachos/Snacks on me.

Sign up quick so I know who is in
