For a small insulated 'camper' you wouldn't need much to heat it. 5k BTU's would be all a guy needs for a camper size room.
Consider putting a second battery and converter in your truck or running a generator. Then you could use an electric ceramic heater. Uline has small area portable heaters with thermostats and auto shut offs. Would be safer and easier than a fueled heater.
10 years ago I bought a new 8x20 enclosed trailer from SWS in Westlock. All paneled inside and lights. Was perfect for a camper. Ended up selling it to a fellow that was going to turn it into a camper plus haul his quad. I paid about 5.5K new. An 8'x14' would be big enough too.
