Default Sauna advice

Got a question for you fellas.
Where I do the the majority of my hunting I don't have a water source.
I can bring in water though.
Looking for advice on the topic and any ins/outs of doing so.
No electricity so needs to be wood fired.
Main goal is to be able to clean up and be as scent free as possible.
Thanks for any advice.

Sounds like you're thinking of a traditional sweat lodge?

When we camp during the summer, we use an old ice fishing tent for the sauna shelter. I have a 30lb propane bottle with the top and bottom cut off with expanded metal on the bottom and fill with lava rock. Heat the rocks over the fire in the cylinder and transfer to the sauna shelter with hooks.

A sweat lodge is nice. There can be possible health risks to learn about before having a remote sweat. Should only stay in a sweat for 15 - 20 minutes.

Not really sauna advice but if you can drive up to your camp and have a truck to haul it in a cauldron sized pot would be nice too. One or two person size. Can sit in it for as long as you want. It would be a treat in a winter camp.

There are portable folding wood fired hot tubs with heating coils that the fire sits in too. Not sur ehow good they work but they do work. This expalns them good. A person could make a fire coil at home maybe. The rest would be easy.

There are a lot of videos on YouTube about Mobiba portable saunas. Most of them in Russian but you will get the drift. I saw a guy posted on a Calgary Russian Facebook page that he will be doing a demo on that thing.
