Trudeau is an idiot. Why is he having so much trouble getting this wet coast problem under control. He used the carbon tax to fix global warming, granted it needs to be tweaked cause we haven't had near the moisture we need in east central Alberta, and he held the button down a little too long on B.C. Maybe he thought the carbon tax would balance itself like the budget. You remember the budget we never saw that he borrowed hundreds of billions to balance and it still is wobbly. It's almost like he doesn't know what he's doing.

BTW what is the volume coming out of his 4 billion dollar pipeline he bought so we wouldn't have to?

If we stop buying blood oil and built a few pipelines and refineries , would that stop global whining?

I am hoping a natural gas line or two gets shut down still to the west. The only lessons learned are the ones that hurt the most.

Washington get the majority of oil from Alaska, only a small percentage come from Canada. Last i heard they cancelled the pipeline from the Alberta hub to Washington. At one time they had 5 refineries close to the the coast and even buy from Russia.

That's not true. I stand against African asbestos mines, I stand against the need for prostitution, I stand against child labor, I stand against Amazonian deforestation, I stand against Bangladeshi sweat shops, I stand against open ocean drift nets.

Yet I have no beef with Africans, women, children..........

I sure hope we as a region never have to suffer through a natural disaster greater than we already have. When's southern Alberta was flooding and fort McMurray was burning. I don’t recall reading of others gloating.

As Outdoorsmen I thought we could do better. Maybe I’m just getting old.

Exactly! I couldn’t even imagine the amount of outrage people here would of had during 2013 if people from other provinces mocked us. As I remember they actually showed us immense support

They get about 26% of their product from Canada for the refineries in Washington State.

They shut down the fuel line from Washington State to Vancouver International. Started to use trucks to ship to a collection/ distribution point.

Change is hard for lots of people, but those who want nothing to change so they don’t have to are SOL.

I hate to get into politics on the future of the job industry in Alberta so I just won’t!
Almost all of our jobs are mostly dependent on the oil industry, most just don’t know it

https://www.vancouverairportfuel.ca/projectOverview. I had heard that the pipeline was working when Alberta was passing that right to shut off fuel delivery to the coast law. BC was not worried about jet fuel. I would think it would be more important to get gas and fuel into the area. Does the refinery in the Vancouver area still run or did it shut down?

You may stand against those, but you seem to stand with deflection to avoid the actual discussion.

And yet during the Fort McMurray fire , memes were posted, about the fires being Karma, because of the oilsands projects. Some people did mock Fort McMurray, saying that it was their own fault.

Firmly Agreed.
The number of folks expressing glee over this, making rude jokes, and even going so far as to publicly state their hope that more (such as gas pipelines) get shut down is downright nauseating.
