Default +44117 Bristol long distance phone scam

anyone else seeing an upswing in long distance scam calls.

Apparently besides phishing they re/route your call to a pay for service number.

Don't think I have seen 44-117 yet but pretty much every spam call I get is 44 country code. It is a VOIP service so they can change the number as often as they want and they usually spoof the number on caller ID to make it appear local or at least from somewhere in Canada. Usually get a call every day or 2 but had 7 in a day once.

Turned on Telus call control and now they don't even get connected because they never pass the "push this button to be connected" prompt.
