Pictures from my deer hunt
Have been trying to use up my whitetail tag for a week, they were pretty scarce in some areas that used to hold lots of deer, so me and a buddy decided to ride into the Willmore to a good spot I know for deer. First day out we set up camp, then rode out looking for deer. Buddy missed on the first one we saw, so I was up. I wasn't going to be picky, if it had horns, it was going down. Found another buck about an hour before dark, he gave me a great standing shot at about 100 yards, I could tell I hit him good, he went about 50 yards and went down. Nice little 4X4, and finally got to use a tag up!
My buddy never did get one, it was supposed to be a two day trip but we ended up staying for three days, lots of deer, just not enough time.
Supper on the trail - with my daughters Henry mini-bolt:

Yup, she looks "quite plesed with herself " as my father would say!
Great pic, I'd be using that for your monitor wallpaper if I were you , Rocks!
As far as the mode of transportation goes, there is only one thing better for me than a jet boat, and that is hunting with horses ....

Cool gun
I bought that little Henry for trapping this winter. Small and compact for sure a great starter gun for the kids. I would have love to have it when I was a kid. I would have shown the gophers no mercy!

Thanks guys...
Sheep - hopefully those ponies bring me some luck in the next 5 days, going out for one last crack at sheep, heading out to the same general area you were in tomorrow morning, PM me directions to that ram you left there if you want . I saw your guys' bootprints on my way out from smokesticks goat hunt I think you were a day or two ahead of us, that must have been a good hike with loaded packs...

Ya, it was a grunt for sure.....the packer met us on the north side of Hayden so we were able to shed our loads there but I sure wish he'd of met us on the south side...at the bottom...lol

Good luck with your sheep hunt Rocks. You'll have to invite me a long one day and I can show you exactly where we tied those rams up...it's likely not where you think. We kind of ended up in another area because of some unforeseen circumstances but I did find a pretty cool horse trail that I'm guessing some local outfitter wishes I hadn't. Not likely to find from the bottom but darned easy from the top....

Hunterclark - that is indeed a bottle of booze on the box. The girl in the picture is a freind of mine, but it wouldn't really matter if it was my daughter, the bottle would still be there. You'd be welcome in my camp any time, and if you don't drink that's ok, but I'm havin' one or two in the evening no matter what you think...
