Default Great way to spend a afternoon

Talked to the farmer about callin in some coyotes, he said he kind of liked them around ,but he said, I am getting upset with the magpie problem.Took the Benjamin Marauder 25 cal pellet gun out, farthest shot was 62 yards.

They would come and mingle around the deer and pheasants.

Good going ! I just received my .25 but its a nitro piston Benjamin . Hoping it will come in handy with my damage control business!
I was thinking of the Marauder but the extra money for air tanks etc , changed my mind ! I believe IF I would buy another I will get an Air force or FX , in same caliber.

That sounds like an awesome way to spend a day and 62 yards is VERY IMPRESSIVE. I love my pellet gun but I am going to have to look up your gun.

Guys that are good, shoot 100 yards with ease>whats cool is you can see the pellet fly in your scope.

So what was the farmers reason for liking having coyotes around? Don’t hear that one too often from an actual farmer...

Just curious.

Local rancher here won’t let us shoot yotes on his land. He says the yotes eat lots of pocket gophers and ground squirrels.

SSS its a secret......
But, they do go well with fermented plum sauce.
Sounds like the farmer has the yoddle dogs trained to or at least they are well fed on the current rodent population and feels there is no need to take them out of the current food chain.

With all those deer being fed there, did you ask if you could shed antler hunt there when the snow melts?

The type of recoil a pellet gun has will destroy regular rifle scopes.

Springer pellet rifles recoil in two directions, which some scopes can't handle.
