Stay upwind when approaching and handling these stink goats, man they have one hell of an odour in the rut!

High cutters don't necessarily mean more mass measurements. You will only get two mass measurements under the cutter (very rarely will you get three mass measurements under the cutters) You want to look for long cutters, really deep hooks, and lots of mass. as flyguyd said your ears on average are 6", but usually from the base of the horn to the top of the ear is about 5" This is what a 83.5 gross, 82.6 net Antelope looks like, notice the cutters aren't that high off the head. the second one scores 80.2 and see how high the cutters are, so don't let the height of cutters fool you.

See post 30 . I realized the scoring between P&Y and B&C differs.

Wow! Thanks for sharing guys! some really impressive goats there! Its obvious that its going to take a really special buck to make book.
I know for sure that I have not come across any B&C bucks yet, or possibly even any 80's but I am sure going to keep looking!
Only 10 days to go - cant wait!

Not a very good pic. Used my cell phone through my binos. Saw him scouting a couple weeks ago. I got my eyes on lots of antelope. A few bucks that Im sure are bigger than this guy but this one I actually got a descent pic of. What do the experts think? I know big whitetails and rams but I'm a rookie on speed goats.

Would be better if we could see a side pic, but my guess would be 74-78"

he's bigger than 72' for sure, with prongs like that and the length due to the curl and decent mass, my guess is 76-78

ahh, looked like the first pic had really light mass but good cutters and the other one had better mass but crappier cutters. Tough to tell with how the pictures were. Seeing it as one goat now I would peg him at 74-75"
