Default WARNING ..don`t stop to take a pizz

Always been fooled by a few coyotes that leave from a farmers dead pile. So last night I called Dad and said meet me on top of the hill at 7am.Dad is 84 so I thought he would be a 1/2 hr late, but after I told him my plan he said he was excited. He call me at 645 and asked were was I...loll. The plan was to go down river about a mile, and he was to give me 15 min and drive to the bait pile, they usually take off running and head north, I was going to intercept them. they should be calm down by then
I got down to the spot I wanted to be at, dressed in white and bi`pod down, I wait, I see two coming down the river at me..darn it, wait a third. But they cross over to the other side of the river.as I have been sitting for bout a 1/2 hr I second guess myself for not taking a call with me but thought I would let them come naturally .About ten minutes later I see one walking right at me, I get prepared seemed like forever for him to get to where I wanted to pull the trigger, as I have the cross hairs on him, it starts ...QUACK QUACK QUACK, man its my phone, the coyote hears it and turns but I get him in the back end...223 hollow point was not fur friendly.pic up phone and dad ask how it was going and I said perfect. .I see movement on the bank, throw phone down and take the shot ..whomp..coyote gets about half way across river and tumbles, I am to scared to go get him.. Dad said lets drive down to were he magpie hunts he seen coyotes there last week.. he lets me go ahead of him he said there was a dead cow in the ravine, I sneak up and 3 dogs coming ripping out and managed to drop two, one has mange. I turn back and see Dad fist pumping like a ten year old.. got back pulling the dogs and he is grinning ear to ear.

Then he says drive down the road about mile there was lots of tracks, he stayed to shoot magpies and I took off.there was about 20 large bales so I parked the truck behind them as the way the wind was gusting to 35km, I new I would have to be from the west were all the brush was, starting with a Mating howl , the area irrupt it with dogs at least 4 ..waited 10 nothing and hit the KIYYA .. nothing...wait 5 and thought what the heck do the Cotton tail, here comes one on the dead run, he stops out about 120 yards and starts to take a pizz,,game over..My first 5 day coyote hunt in my life.

Default 3 in back 40

at first light this week 3 mornings out of 5. No shots fired. thought they started running when I tried to open the deck door to get out to the shooting platform so this morning I peaked through window on door seeing 1 broadside and 2 skulking around so went to get rifle. by the time I got back (3 minutes) they were 400 yards across the field. I swear they can read my mind.
