Yup I liked the metal tags too. Remember dragging a deer to the truck when the first paper ones came out and the tag was gone. Yup follow my drag trail back to find the tag among swearing and cussing paper tags. Think they make the glue better now.

Here is a metal tag for those who have not seen em before. They were different colors every year.

If anything I think the glue on the tags is much worse since they changed the color to yellow. Last year, last day of season, 20 some degrees below, and we couldn't get the tag to stay on my whitetail. 20 minutes of heating it up in the truck and sticking it on, just to have it fall off again. It's a very poor system in my books. I couldn't imagine the anger if I had lost my biggest whitetail due to a tag falling off on the way home.....

The stickers are stupid easy to open. I remember skinning out my first deer and accidentally cutting the tendon my tag was on. It took two minutes to peel it open and just stick it on the other tendon. As far as carrying them I just use a zip lock bag and a very fashionable fanny pack.
