Default Hike in ponds/lakes around Red Deer

Anyone have any recommendations for hike-in access bodies of water around Red Deer? We are looking to do some fly fishing and wouldn't mind hiking for a couple hours to get there.

There is a nice little hike by "The Faces" just before you go down the hill into canyon ski area. The trail head is marked by a few big boulders on the east side of the road. It takes you down to the river but it's only a 20 min to a half hour hike but by the river there is also a trail that runs along the whole river valley all the way to Joffre bridge. Never walked it all the way though but moved up and down the river for a few hours.Typical river fishing, there's no ponds down there but i've taken some decent size pike and a few brown's out from there.
