Default Calgary Counter installers - looking for Corian or similar cut offs

Like the title says I am looking for cut offs of Corian or similar machinable solid counter material, with a slant to the more heat resistant type. If a handheld router can cut it it should work.

I am using it to make molds for soft plastic lures. According to the internet Corian and alike can handle the job. Ideally I would be doing this out of aluminum but I was thinking I would break less tooling on more forgiving materials.

Seems to me the easiest way to find this is Google Corian Counters in Calgary, then pickup the phone and ask them about cutoffs.

Agreed. Likely they have a garbage bin to help yourself in.

Unless I have follow on questions like hints on feeds and speeds and such that a sales/receptionist may not know.

Might not be as easy to cut as you think.

What is corion made out of?
What is Corian® | Planit
Corian® is composed for one third of transparent acrylic resin (poly(methyl methacrylate) PMMA) and two thirds natural minerals. The principal among these latter is alumina trihydrate (ATH), a white powder derived from bauxite, the mineral from which aluminium is extracted.

It is machinable, I don't know how tough it will be on bits, it may need a specially coated carbide IDK. Sort of why I am fishing for practical knowledge along with the material.

Call JMJ tops in Calgary, ask for an estimator as they know their product. Then ask for sink cutouts.
Cheers

The material called Richlite would also suit your needs, it's basically wood pulp impregnated with epoxy. You'll see it used as countertops but also in small items like Epicurean brand cutting boards in boutique kitchen stores. It can be worked with normal woodworking tooling.

Spoke to them today and that is exactly what they do with the cutouts, straight into the garbage.
