Am I going to be in a word of pain because it is now expired. Anyone with any info or suggestions let me know

If it were me ( which it never will be) I would ask a trusted friend with a PAL to take your firearms. The last thing you need now is a illegal possession charge.
You will have to re apply for a pal. Basically start over minus the safety course.
I get that people are forgetful but as a responsible gun owner thats something I stay on top of.
Itll be easier to explain if ypu dont currently have firearms without a valid license

And no offense but some may not think its funny that you bought ammo illegally

Did the entire process online. Even with the RPAL it was finished and issued in about 2 weeks. I was also proactive and sent in my range membership before they asked.

My RPAL only took a couple weeks as well. I was pleasantly surprised with how easy the process was, did it all online and took the photo myself with my cell phone.

Do you have any restricted firearms yet?

I sent my RPAL in on June 15th and the status on the website is approved and it is in the mail. I didn't have to send in prove of my range membership, I'm assuming the range sent it in when I renewed the membership.

When I was renewing it, it was mandatory for me to put my spouse's information down as a reference, but they never called her. Are they supposed to? I remember them calling her before, but not this time. Not that it would have made any difference.

I just called the range and the woman that did my renewal said she faxed it in to the CFO.
