Question Best NON-FELT Korker Soles

With the way things are currently going with whirling disease etc. I would see in the foreseeable future that using felts soles anywhere will be against the regulations, it is already "strongly recommended".

I was hoping to see what people are currently using on their Korkers. I am looking to get another set of soles and thought I would see what people out there are using. I am currently leaning towards Vibram Studded Idrogrips.

Let me know if you have used them of what you would suggest instead.

Thanks for your help and tight lines.

if you don't fish out of a boat go with the studs. I have used them every year for 8-9 years and will continue to. just make sure you pick up your feet when your walking through a creek. Studs will catch on rocks and put you on your ass before you know it.

I wear Simms Freestones with the Vibram soles as is,I've never felt the need for cleats when the boots/soles are new.Maybe after a few years when the soles wear down, but mine are 5-6yrs old(?) with 50-80 fishing days in them most years and still have pretty good grip, although they are wearing down now and would benefit from cleats no doubt.
Unless you regularly fish notoriously uber slippery streambeds,I'd wear them as is for a couple years at least until the soles get worn, then give them an overhaul with new cleats rather then unnecessarily wearing out new cleats from the get go?A good fold-up wading staff is better spent money to help you wade with sure footed confidence imho.
Just my $.02,your mileage may vary,FWIW,I mostly fish the Bow with a few trips/year to east slopes streams and BC.
