Default Waiporous road closure

Finally got a moose draw and they say road will be closed until november. Originally much earlier opening. I sometimes wonder about politics and the camps on that road but thats just conjecture. Frustrating. Anyone know how I can get access to upper end of waiporous with a trailer to camp. Was thinking lost knife creek road? The rules around road use are extremely restrictive so I'm really not sure what my options are. I hunted there in the 80's with my dad and he was going to be my "camp guy". I'm pretty disappointed in the whole deal...

what's this closure for (i.e. which roads) and where is exactly affected? I can't find anything on this on any government notice web site

Out of my zone but wonder if it snakes south? Closures are incredible out there. So few roads open. The one road the built last year to bypass Waiporous is also closed which really confuses me?

Main road following Waiporous creek. Atleast the bridge before the cadet camp is closed so not sure if that means its closed from there on. With the protectionist attitude I would assume so.

It says in the link above;

"Effective Date: May 10, 2017 to October 10, 2017

Where: On Waiparous Valley Road on the Waiparous Creek bridge.

Why: Construction Activities"

No conspiracy theory here folks, simple construction. My guess was is they're widening it. WAY too narrow and dangerous even in the summer. Long overdue

it seems as though its just a trail closure, not the main road(trunk road hwy 40) or the trans alta road?

Lost Knife trail temporarely closed Sept 5 to Sept 17
Looks like open next Monday, Season is not lost.
Looks like the waiporous valley road is open only a trail closure and a work area are off limits till October10

Saw someone driving on the Lost Knife road today. I drove to the gate and saw it was closed with a cheater trail around it, but it would be a tight fit for the truck I saw. Not sure if that is how they got in.
