Hi Peter,

I hope hunters and trappers will be proactive in dealing with the concern of CWD and bait/disposal of scraps.

Please DO NOT use any deer/elk from known CWD areas for bait in non CWD areas.

The government is working on new CWD disposal regulations, something that will unfortunately be quite challenging to implement and finance. While needed yesterday, this will probably take a couple of years to put into place.

In the meantime, hunters and trappers can do their part in limiting the spread of CWD by NOT disposing of potentially contaminated remains in non CWD areas.

Best wishes for your trapping this winter.
