Default A Question for Computer Experts

Hi guys, I've been getting ads in foreign languages- is someone using my wifi? Or does that just happen occasionally? These are just your regular google ads

Have you been searching porn sites lately ? Down load malwarebytes, It's a anti malware program and it should clean up the spyware and stuff on your computor.

Is it just Westjet flights to various places in Europe, or all of your ads?

I noticed the same thing at home last week, but it was just an odd ad campaign from Westjet: Flights to Hungary and Czech and different parts of Europe for cheap, and they would write the adds in the respective language.

I find Chrome to be the worst browser out there and adblock was purchased by a mystery buyer.

Download adwcleaner from here and run it. Once it loads, click on scan - when it finishes, click on clean. Click OK on the prompts and the system should reboot.

then install malwarebytes. It's free. Run a full system scan.

You guys are still getting googles ads?

Download an adblocker add-on for your browser (I use uBlock). This will block all google ads and most other ads. Practically eliminated pop-ups. This DOES NOT disable permanent ads, like on AO, just "customized" ads based on your browsing history.

Then you might want to download the add-on Ghostery, which blocks the trackers and tracking cookies. Ghostery will also, however, block many comments sections (like on CBC) that use trackers. You can enable them temporarily or permanently if you still want to see the comments, even though they track you. I don't like them trackoing my browser activity, so I like Ghostery a lot.

Both show the number of ads and tracking attempts that they block. I'm not kidding, some website are in the HUNDREDS. No wonder my broswer was so slow before

I installed both those on Firefox Browser, but they also have versions for Chrome I think.

Since I installed them I have never looked back! My internet browsing browsing is now about 1000% more awesome, and NO ADS!
