Default Lost Garmin In-Reach

In a last ditch effort I thought I would post on here in hope of finding a Garmin In-Reach that fell off my pack while hunting out in the Ghost Area west of Waiparous. Unfortunately I didn’t have tracking turned on.

Thanks for the help

Chris

Just curious....have you checked with Garmin? They may have "visibility"of it. These electronic companies can do all kinds of cool things that may impress or scare the crap out of you.

I second this. Garmin customer service and tech support has been fantastic for me. They even replaced my 4 day old Inreach for free after my dog ate it, I fully expected to be paying for another one.

Good luck, snowing as we speak.

I dropped my wedding ring once in the bush in the snow. I new the general area where I dropped it and got a metal detector and found it like 2 weeks later.

Could work for you if you know where you lost it or can retrace your steps

Dropped mine and found it has a find my phone feature. It takes up to 20 minutes but if it can see the sky it should work.

Thanks everyone.
No luck with the Garmin approach. I have a general idea on where it might be, there’s just about 2’ of snow out there.

Are you saying Garmin was unable to remotely wake it up to locate it, I know you said it was turned off. Just curious about the find options cause that seems like a pretty big weakness in their system, though it does mean no one can track you if you don't want to be.
