375 Holland and Holland Bullet Choice
I am going to help a friend develop a load for his 375HH and am wondering what other have used with success. We are leaning toward a bonded bullet, any suggestions?

When I had mine, I used the nosler book with a middle charge of imr4350 with 300gr accubonds. It got me less than an inch at 100 yards and brass lasted a little longer.

I used to use old Barnes 270X. went to the Partition, and have moved to Accubond 260.

Don’t reload but I use a 300gr partitioned for my 375. So far has worked very well on North American bison. Would not be afraid to use it against a griz if I ever found myself in that position.

For my past H&Hs and my current 375 Ruger and the previous one, they all shot the 270 grain TSX very well. The two Rugers will cloverleaf them regularly. Use fed 215 or win mag primer for lower SDs and better burn, especially in short barreled guns. Any slow burning powder like 4350, 4831 or 7828 works fine. The TSX like at least .05 or more jump. I also use Hornady 250 grain for target practice.

Yup
Use .375 H&H with 200 gr /235 gr / 300 gr.
Interesting thing about the caliber, is the point of impact stays pretty much the same for all bullet weights.

He has taken an elk with it this year but would like an all around deer to moose bullet.

375 h&h
I tested the Barnes 270 TSX and 300TSX bullets and the 260 Nosler Partitions. I had the best luck with the 270 TSX bullets and took both a cape buffalo and a zebra with them. In my rifle they were tremendously accurate. Contrary to some things I had heard about the Barnes bullets that they were a direct passthrough type of bullet, I found that more frequently they were found against the skin on the far side of the animal. (I also shot quite a number of other animals with 180 gn TTSX bullets with a 300 WSM). Between these two rifles and experience with the Barnes bullets, I don't think you can go wrong for terminal performance and furthermore will not be giving up anything in the accuracy department.

I know of one long time PH in northern South Africa who swears by the 270TSX for everything except maybe elephant.
Like Dean2 said, Barnes like a 0.050" jump to lands. If that doesn't work, go further, not closer away.

Bought my 375 in about 1981 and have used a few different bullets. I like the 250 Sierra as an all around bullet from deer to moose. Even works good on coyote as I have shot guessing about a dozen of them with it and it was fur friendly on each one. This bullet opens enough on deer that they don't travel far if at all, but still penetrates wonderfully on elk and moose.

Trades I would interested in:
- Sightron rifle scopes, 4.5x14x42mm or 4x16x42mm
especially! with the HHR reticle. (no duplex pls.)
- older 6x fixed scopes with fine X or target dot.

I really like this bullet too! If I was just hunting grizzly, elk and moose it would be my go to bullet. Works fine on deer too but is a little harder bullet than the 250 grain. With the 250 I find I get more bang/flops on lung shot deer and the furthest one has travelled is about 10 yards. Lung shot deer with the 300 often went 30 to 40 yards. On the bigger animals I have not found a difference between the 250 and 300 but have only shot about two elk and one moose with the 250 grain bullet. Both bullets are very accurate in my rifle and have beat any other bullet I have tried.
