Website is not too detailed, do they ship firearms if your bid is successful? Any idea on costs, etc. or other add on costs to the auction?

Schneidmiller is an interesting character who's been collecting for decades . There is a buyers fee, check out the Rosehill web site.

Most auction houses do not ship. Shipping is almost always the buyers responsibility to organize no matter what. I did notice it says that is says "All Items Must be Paid for & Picked Up by Friday Sept 2
Shipping is Available at Buyers Cost. Please Contact the Office @ (403) 556-3655 to Make Arrangements.
"

That leads me to understand it to be the buyers responsibility.

Wasn't prison.
There are "rumours" around regarding what happened and the cause of medical distress, but I won't repeat as not 100% sure.

72-year-old man dies at Sundre hospital, ASIRT investigatingRED DEER ADVOCATE STAFFSep. 24, 2022 9:30 a.m.LOCAL NEWSNEWS******

The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team is investigating after a 72-year-old man died at a Sundre hospital on Friday.

Just before 11 a.m., Sundre RCMP responded to a call from an Alberta Health Services peace officer to assist with a “physically violent subject” at a local hospital, police said in a news release.

When officers arrives there was a “physical confrontation,” police said. Following that confrontation, the man went into medical distress.

The Sundre man died in hospital at about 12:20 p.m.

“The Alberta RCMP believes in processes that seek the facts and it’s important that processes taken to assess the actions of all those involved, including the police, are fair, transparent, and defendable,” police said in the news release.

“This is why, as soon as we became aware of this incident, we immediately notified the Director of Law Enforcement and initiated our internal review process. The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team has been directed to investigate the circumstances surrounding the actions of the police and Peace Officer during this investigation.”

ASIRT’s mandate is to effectively, independently and objectively investigate incidents involving Alberta’s police that have resulted in serious injury or death to any person, as well as serious or sensitive allegations of police misconduct.

Independent of ASIRT’s investigation, Alberta RCMP’s internal review process has been implemented to gather a full account of what took place during this incident. RCMP training, policy, police response, and the duty status of the members involved will be subject to review.

“The Alberta RCMP is, of course, fully cooperating with ASIRT and will not be commenting further on this incident,” said police.

Heard the story, all I can say is Holy ****, I didn't know him well but a friend of mine did, he was one of the few people left with a FA allowance. Quite a character, he salvaged and restored that old steam engine along the coal Camp road.
