A description

https://www.space.com/nasa-dart-asteroid-impact-preview

DART launched atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on Nov. 23, 2021, and has since been traveling the 7 million miles (11 million kilometers) to Didymos and Dimorphos.

As DART approaches Dimorphos, it will use its sole instrument, the Didymos Reconnaissance and Asteroid Camera for Optical navigation (DRACO), to autonomously navigate to its impact zone. Considering that scientists estimate Dimorphos has a diameter of just 560 feet (170 meters), that's no easy task.

How dare we humans attack an innocent asteroid passing by. I half expected a laser beam to pop out of the asteroid and zap the hostile attack drone.

I think they hit it a little too far back, they’ll have to track it for miles.

Looked like a bug hitting a windshield, waiting to see results that could save the planet someday.

I can never get over our imperious attitude, we're less than a bacteria, in the universe.

Used space cadets in strategic locations as spotters for precise accuracy.

Got them out there but never said how to get them back.

Wanna work for NASA add in paper brewed up the interest.

but Dr Smith, the satellite we launched that cost 245 million to build is on a collision course with an asteroid !!

Good Grief Dr Jones, just tell NASA thats what we were planning to do all along in an effort to save the planet and hope we get funding for another one.
