I saw an add a couple days ago for a pre-ban AR-15. 1970's era. Looks like an old M-16 with solid plastic stock. I thought all AR-15's are restricted. Is this some kind of weird loophole in the law ? Thanks for any info.

Anything pre ban is in reference to firearms that were banned under the 1994 Assault weapons ban that expires in 2004. They used to command a higher price similar to pre 64 model 70s. Doesn’t mean much anymore.
