Are the pans hanging from a tree limb or fastened to something?

I would hope the pan is secured, with nothing behind it, and he is firing at it from a 90 angle. If not, I want to change my guess.

First blood! So the first shot went in and out. Only had time for one distance but I won’t say how far it was so you can keep your guesses coming in. 28 guesses so far.

Pic 1. Pan no holes
Pic 2. Entrance hole
Pic 3. Exit hole

I had a buddy shoot a 500ml coke bottle with the .204 once at 100 yrds and we thought he was missing because the bottle didn’t even wobble, but when we went to look, every shot hit it. Crazy what a ton of speed and a little projectile will do.

750 yards, based on steel things I’ve punched through with much lower velocity .22 WMR rounds. Gotta drop enough velocity, amd aluminum will punch easier than steel.

Given the range up to 600yds, I’d say 600yds but I’m thinking 600yds is not far enough for a pass through.

Say a further distance if you like. If it doesn’t go through at 600 I’ll go further.

I have stopped the bullet. Even better I caught the bullet. I’ll still need to do more testing (it will make more sense when you see the pictures and results) which I will post Sunday.

I'm not sure if this is an accurate representation, using a worked hardened pan. I'd suggest you retry the test this weekend using the new one.
