Default 2nd car dealership up in flames

Edson Honda went up in flames this morning...2nd major dealership fire this month (Spruce Grove earlier in December).
Anyone else thinking a 'eco-warrior' thinking they'll keep those god awful polluting vehicles off the road?
Is my tinfoil hat on too tight?

I don't wear tinfoil, but I don't know the last time, if ever, I heard of a dealership burning. Two in a month is a bit of a coincidence.

This first fire was in Edson as well, Edson Chrysler. Doubting eco terrorism but I’d still be nervous if I was the owner of Jerry ford or the chev dealer.

It was Edson Dodge before, not Spruce Grove, no?

Two dealership fires in a place the size of Edson sure is suspicious. Someone hates cars or oil changes?

Maybe it was people who got "fiddled" by stealerships but didn't realize it till later.

Maybe they thought that was the only way they could get justice since the BBB, AMVIC, and so-called "Consumer Affairs" do nothing for anyone.

BTW, I walked away from "deals" from stealerships several times in my life when the "fees" suddenly appeared out of the 4th dimension seconds before signing. ("Mandatory" my butt! Show me the Legislation that makes it "mandatory"!)

Are the dealerships connected somehow? Same owners/ group? Maybe insurance claims? Can’t sell the vehicles, and can’t afford to pay the loans to have them sit on the lot.....

Has there been an investigation into the source and cause of any of the fires?

Is arson a cause?

It’s easy to speculate but i would be it’s being looked into pretty good.

I would think dealerships are having a pretty tough time right now across the province.

If anything I’d expect the dealerships that sell the prelifted F-350’s to be having the hardest time in that area.

One thing to pull that once, but twice in one month? Insurance fraud on this level is extremely serious and their investigations extremely thorough... I would imagine this is more on the level of someone disgrunted with either the dealer chain or the auto industry... or some crazy arsonist who just enjoys burning cars.

Exclamation Caught!

RCMP have charged 2 suspects:
Quote:
Thomas James Berube, 37, and a 17-year-old boy are facing charges for several arsons, breaking and entering, theft, and injuring or killing animals.
The February 23 break-in and arson at the Niton Junction Petro Canada provided the evidence to tie these 2 to the other cases. Apparently the fires were set to hide the robberies at each location.

On some level it would seem we're at war with environmental extremists.

I don’t understand.

However I do understand that crime and vandalism is a massive war against taxpayers and consumers including those paying the skyrocketing insurance premiums.

If only our legal system after due process was held, took care of this scum, by locking them away form a decade or more, the citizens and police would see that an attempt to mitigate these occurrences was taking place.

These two will likely be out setting fires before the end of this week, it will take a year and a half for them to get to trial, and they will be given a slap on the wrist.

Pathetic

Berube is career con having served a previous federal sentence and has connections to Travis Vader's case as well. No surprises here.

Career con's and their trainees are disposable and need to be disposed of, the sooner the better, they will never be anything but a burden on the legal system and the tax payers.

I just went by the Petro Can In Niton for work a couple weeks back and though they were closed for renos. That sucks they were hit too. Glad they caught the punks, too bad they won't be in for too long.
