Seriously though.. What else does he have.
I like the effort, the smile and his way of thinking about the game. he seems happy. Did you honestly think ANYONE expected anything more than that?

But the most important part in all this was the ability to then sign Tkachuk. By Edmonton paying 12.5% of Milans salary, it frees up approx. $500,000. In essence, you guys helped us sign one of the most exciting and effective players in the league. In exchange, we gave up some useless parts that you guys managed to shine up for a game or 2 (Perhaps even a season?). How does James Neil for Mathew Tkachuck, Milan Lucic and possibly a 3rd round draft pick sound? Oh yeah.. And you paid Lucic's signing bonus.

Does James Neil doing anything stick in my craw.. Yes it does. We paid him a **** load of $$$ and he craped the bed here. Am I glad he is gone.. ABSOLUTELY.. Was the trade worth it.. Everyday.. All day long. Enjoy his skill set. I believe he has the ability to really be effective. Question is.. Will he ? So far this year you guys are seeing some smoke. Might be a fire there, might just be a smoke screen. 25% of his goals came in one game. His stats are showing him to be a defensive Liability. I do not understand "Advanced Stats" perhaps someone can look at those and give a better opinion.

A huge contract that doesn't make a bunch of sense to buy out while he's contributing ZERO. I'd imagine it'll be a long time before the grin comes off Holland's face.

Something for nothing. Always a good bet.

I will admit I’d love either Tkachuck on my team. Both are awesome
players just like their Dad was.

No problem, we would relax the hair conditions, but you would still have to go back to school to get your grade 4.

Something for nothing. Always a good bet.
So in all seriousness you think Looch is contributing NOTHING to the Flames?? You don't think we have benefited at all?
If goals are the only way you see a player contributing to a team 90% of the Coilers are non contributors as well..
I disagree I think we filled a hole we didn't have ,but I guess I am just in denial

Jamie your trying to say you got Chucky in the deal is a joke. You obviously don’t like the trade now that Neal is on FIRE. YES 12 goals in 18 games is fire not smoke. The trade was Neal for Lucic. And yes you may get a draft pick. As for Lucic doing what he does sure. If I was Flames fan I would want him suspended as mich as possible. Lots of guys that can do what Lucic does for a lot less than 5.5m a year.

The funny thing is Jamie thought it was a huge joke that Edmonton had looch tied in at 6.5 million and laughed his arse off....
The very next year the flames take him over at 5.5 mill....
Now it’s a wonderful deal... lol
Oh and they gave up a 12 goal scorer in 18 games with the deal. Oh the hypocrisy!

Elk.. We did.. Thats exactly why this trade was made. Come one everyone knows that... You think it was for Loochs good looks? This was 100% about cap space. (I was wrong it's not $500,000 but in fact $750,000 worth of cap space per year)We traded what was a useless part for a part your team that was useless. BUT we got the got space that we needed. and thats why MT signed up again.
So yeah.. THANK YOU. Seems it might have worked out well for both sides. Interested to see how you guys feel about this if it costs you another draft pick and things continue to slide down hill for the real deal. it's early though.

Continue to slide downhill? Lol.
12 goals in 18 games is downhill?
Anyone on the flames roster doing that?
Nope.

I laughed my ass off at you guys giving the bank to your Goalie... I 100% admit to making fun of Looch. However the ability to get cap space and have a bad contract in exchange for a bad contact works for me. The money was spent. this improved things by having the cap space and having Looch as a person on the team. He is showing some effort this year!!

How are you guys going to feel if Taylor Hall ends up back here? That would be interesting to say the least.

He’s basically a 20 goal scorer. That’s why we got him. He’s over halfway there already. Lol. He’s no 50 goal scorer. We are laughing.

So you're saying Loochs ridiculous contract, that you're stuck with till it expires, was taken on to save $750000? This "everyone knows that", I'm thinking only Jamie knows that. If that is indeed the case, Trevling should be unemployed

Second... Get it straight...

So if a married couple who happen to be Oiler fans get divorced, are they still brother and sister?

Cap Space?????? Weren't you and Trochu bragging last year how great Calgary's cap issue was moving forward and Edmonton wasn't going to be able to afford a bag of pucks. What happen? Was there a super secret contract no one knew about?

Also the fact Neal and Peters were not working together, AT ALL. As much as I do think we should have got more, Neal did suck last year and there may have been more to it than we will ever know.. Either way even though more points would be nice, we are getting what we need from Looch, and for the ones who believe him and Neal should be equal in points?? HaHa well you should maybe look at stop watching hockey, as it is clearly not your thing.
