Different bullets to the same POI.
I'll take this over a 1/4 more inch of accuracy any day of the week in a hunting rifle.

What range, and how big are those groupings?

Nice! I wish I could do the same with Sierra Game Kings and TSX's. I like the TSX performance but I find it a little pricey to practice with.
I agree that with the difficulty in finding components, this is a nice bit of tweeking. Nicely done.

Partitions do the same and I'll see what BT's and Hornady's do in the morning.

I have similar results with SST and Interbonds in my 260imp....pretty neat to find a good combo between brands though!

I hope this isn't a derail. Why do you think some rifles accomplish this? Whether it's just dumb Luck or engineering. I've noticed that with .22's the poi changes changes little, if at all regardless of bullet weight or speed (subsonics). While my .30 calibers and most of my other center fires can change so dramatically.
I have no idea. Thought maybe this might be a good thread to ask on.

Most of the time it is dumb luck. Good engineering can make it possible but it is not what makes it happen.

There are rumors that some calibers manage this more often than not. Anybody?

I've had similar results with 160 and 175 partitions in my 7 rm and 180 and 200 partitions in my 300 wtby.

No doubt, some "calibers" seem more accurate than others, but those results may be related more to the barrel/action configuration than the chambering. Hard to argue that the 6PPC isn't the top dog in short range bench rest, but it is also being driven in a heavy barreled, custom rigs. But, chamber a hunting rifle to 6PPC and it will probably shoot well, all other things being equal.
I have a few rifles that are decent shooters, but I don't think anything less of them when they don't shoot multiple bullet weights/profiles to the same POI. If that is the result I am looking for, I adjust the windage

I am by no means a expert, but here is my bit of experience with this matter...
My 257 WBY chambered in a Rem 700 shoots 100gr TTSX and 110gr Accubond with the same brass, powder, primer, coal. With just the tips being different they both shoot moa out to 600 yards. basically shoots like they are the exact same load. Accubond has a little better BC.
This is what happens in my particular riffle. I am wondering if the same could be said with a Accubond and a BT in the same weight of bullet, all other things being the same.
Thanks
Curtis.

Pure luck. Nice when it happens. All it means is you can close your eyes and mix bullets up in your hunting jacket Doesn't mean jack squat if it doesn't. As 260 Rem said, adjust your windage.
