For what its worth I have used Rocky's to cut my moose for the last few years and found him to be better than most of the other butchers I have used in the past. Excellent cuts, packaged to specification and great sausage. Would gladly head back if he manages to reopen in the future.
Outfit in Barrhead is doing the same thing. Freezing whole carcasses on the floor of a disgusting reefer trailer for months until they "had time" to get to them.
Brutal business practice...but waiting 4 months to get back dirty product was a great learning experience for me.
We now have a walk in cooler and all the equipment to do it all at home.
Cutting meat has become part of the November scramble each year and I love every second of it. Outfits that operate like this can all fade away into the abyss far as I'm concerned.

Disgusting is right. Nothing will ever beat The Butcher's Bus for me. When the smell of rotten meat knocks you and your kid back when you go in to collect your product, you should be shut down.
I think this is why many of us started to do our own meat.
