Best meat saw / bone saw
I have been using a folding stihl hand saw in the field and it has been working great for packing with me but I want to get something for cutting bones at home, I have a reciprocating sawzall but I dont know what blades to use or if it will make a mess of my sawzall... also I have a hacksaw but the blade i have doesn't work great and im not a fan of the paint coming off on the food im planning to eat so I thought i would reach out here to see what kinda of great suggestions I will get. I plan on cutting through some main bones to either roast for marrow or make stock.
Thanks

For the reciprocating saw, I just use a standard wood blade, and (carefully) buff the paint off with a wire wheel prior to use. Give it a wash prior to use and then after using, wash with dish soap and wipe with cooking oil, and put away for next year. Works awesome.
Let me know if you need a good recipe for bone broth.

I use a pruning blade in my sawz all. Melts through a moose or beef really quick.

For longevity, get a Milwaukee 12" 'The Ax' blade. It'll easily split anything under buffalo.
The paint is not an issue...
Not all pruning blades are made equally... Don't try the princess auto ones.
Sawzalls are easy to clean. wipe down with a damp rag with a bit of disinfectant on it, and use an air compressor to blow away the rest.

x2, and PA have the replacement blades as well.
In my hunting pack I use the Wyoming field saw. And when I require a replacement blade I'll cut/drill (it is not easy as the steel is very hard) a blade bought from Princess Auto.
One time being curious, I used the saw in a folding Swiss Army knife to cut the legs off a deer.....knock me over with a feather, it worked.
