Default Tikka T3x 7mm RM and Leupold VX-2 4-12 X 40

Anyone mounted this combination? Have a base and ring suggestion?

Talley Lightweights. Call Prophet River up and have them double check clearance, but I think you can go with lows.

Will be a sweet package..CONGRATS

I used Tikka Optilock Rings and Bases when I mounted Leupold scopes to my 2 Tikka T3's.

Ya it will be a nice set up. Too bad it is not for me. Returning a favor by setting up a gun for my step-son. It must be nice to be young and don't have the spending guilt disease yet.

Default Tikka T3X

Used the low version of the Tikka Opti lock system with a
Leupold VX 3 6.5x20x40 with no clearance issues.
Cheek weld is consistent; repetitive optical alignment using this setup.

Well, since its a Magnum, all be it a relatively small Magnum, and I don't want any second guessing by the owner, I think I am going for the Optilocks. In for a penny, in for a pound...

Thanks everyone...

I would go with the Talley lightweights, or even Leupold bases and rings, but I wouldn't spend twice the money on the optilocks and gain no extra strength or reliability.

Yup talley lightweights all the way. Don’t waste your money on the optiloks.
