Default whats a trim die ??? noob question time

hey guys ... theres a trim die for sale for 50 BMG .... googled it a bit and utubed ...but whats a trim die for ???

just for getting the trim to length close to the mark using a file before resizing then going to the handcrank/lathe trimmer ????

i just dont get it ...... trimming your brass 2xs ?????

im primarily interested in it if it makes resizing brass easier ...casue lemme tell you the 50 bmg is hard work to resize ...lol ...any chances it does that ?


oh yeah ..... on a side note ...got myself a rcbs hand primer tool today ...wow ...where have you been all my life ...lol....wish i had this 5 years ago or whenever i got into loading .....$ 80 bucks i think guys ..cant go wrong

It's a die used instead of measuring and having a trimmer.

Hand crank for the 50, huh? I've never really looked at the trimmer die option. Personally, I use a mechanized trimmer by Giroud for the BMG case. I also employ a measuring device.
