[QUOTE=HunterDave;3711624. As far as I’m concerned if people don’t like to interact with it, they can move to a city where they don’t have to deal with it. [/QUOTE]

It seems that even in the city, people have to deal with the interaction with wild life. I am thinking with the infestation of coyotes in the City of Calgary.

At least in the country one can often get away with SSS.

Anyway this thread has went from abandoned dishwashers in the Alps to being charged with carrying a pocket knife here in our great province.

Complain, why? Man I have, tons of birds at my feeder, deer coming in at night to pick up the dropped seeds, coyotes in my back yard singing me to sleep at night. A Moose or two bedded down any given night. And a few horses in the fence. I don't have traffic noise, siren noise, or people yelling all hours of the night. Check me off for "happy to have them".

Most who complain about our country have not traveled to see the conditions of others but hey they sure like to spew....oh well next....

I did. Was it you? Did you stage a protest? I did not say your name in particular, are you a NIMBY guy?

I bet you just loved when I said Canmore because it opened the door for you to do what you always do and jump down my throat.
100% truth I had nobody in mind from this forum, but I bet you smiled ear to ear and back just so you could fight with me, again. Tell me I am wrong.

My only complaint is when the Mule Deer raid our garden and flower beds. I just laugh it off and tell the wife that it will make them taste better in the fall.

As the original OP of this thread, I am so pleased to see so many positive responses. If you haven't traveled the world over, you simply cannot understand the fortune that we are gifted within our beautiful country and province. Being gifted to see bald eagles perched on your fence line, deer feeding near a country road, coyotes, foxes, wolves, bears and cougars in near proximity are a gift even though they are predators. Catching rainbows, walleye, pike in our pristine rivers is a true gift that must be appreciated and protected.

First off I don't always jump down your throat, second it wasn't the word Canmore that got me, it was the childish name calling that I come to expect from an angry old white guy who would benefit from eating a marijuana gummy bear once in awhile and hopefully not choke on it.

It's cool. Last year we had a mulie doe with twins that hung around that kept us entertained.

Things are definately more sparse around here now with the weather the way it has been, tons of mulies but the whitetail are gone after 2-3 years of culls. Even the squirrels are almost gone, I used to have a couple trained enough to sit on my knee and eat peanuts out of my fingers but only even saw 1 last year. It was very cool though, nobody could get close to it except for my 3 year old grandson. He was inches away studying the tiny critter, reaching out and touching it. We were nervous he was going to get bit, but the squirrel seemed to sense my buddy was no threat to him.

It's never a war of words as long as no one speaks up & disagrees.........what does one expect when 'whiners' is the operative word in the thread title

Last night I was in Katwe Village on the border of Uganda / Congo. Went outside for a smoke and 2 hippos were about 50 metres away. Let's just say I didn't finish that smoke.

Smoking does kill.

Even New York Times is starting to recognize the Prairies. Aka Saskatoon.
