Default Bulk Carb Cleaner product

I'm going through a super nice but older Ski Doo touring I got from a friends estate. Needs to be gone through so I know its all good, so I am cleaning carbs now(Carbs are clean but it's green inside the bowls, jets etc) as it is not running too good, been sitting quite a while before my friend bought it as a project.

I've checked Napa, CT and Parts source. I only find carb cleaner in spray cans. I would like to soak the carb bodies( i have disassembled them to clean jets etc but would like to soak the whole body too), use the spray cans to flush out passages.

Know of any place where I can buy a jug of good carb cleaner or something similar that does the same thing?

Thanks

Auto supply store like NAPA would have it. Used to buy it by the 20L pail. That stuff is pricey if you only doing a couple carbs once in a while. The spray bomb cleaners would be more cost effective for you. The bowls are easier to clean than some of the body. Give it a good spray, followed by a good blast of air usually works well.

Go buy a couple of pour cans of Seafoam, about a pint each. $13 each at Canadian Tire. They will soak off the crud real well and you can add it to the gas and run it through the whole system too.

I have Seafoam(its already in the drained and new fuel) but didn't think to use as a cleaner. I will give it a go with what I have on hand.

Thanks

I used this Yamalube carb dip on my 20 year old outboard carb. Nasty stuff, but did a great job.

there is a crc product called tyme-1 that is great for cleaning carbs. It comes in a gallon can and should be available through most places that sell crc.

I have what is supposed to be industrial grade carb cleaner. I've used it a few times when nothing else works & it seems potent. My brother gave it to me and it was in a 5 gal pail. Still have quite a bit but need to strain it to keep it clean. No idea where he got it but suspect it is not for sale to general public.

It’s also called methyl ethyl death, be careful with that stuff.

This ^^^^

I have an ultra sonic cleaner, and it works awesome, if you know someone that has one that uses one for cleaning brass for re-loading, maybe you can borrow one, I could clean it for you, but I live near Lac La Biche!

I have used coke with great success, just dont drink it after!

Good Luck
