a goalie! He now has the rights to said to be the 2 best goal tenders that are not playing in the NHL. Plus 3 first round draft picks in 2013.

Wow with all these new #1st round picks does this mean Calgary is gonna actually rebuild through the draft?. I was under the understanding (from calgary fans) that this was a flawed methodology that the oilers started years ago.
I think I'll coin the phrase "decade of doom" for the flames franchise.

Just because Peter Griffin in his interview says they are the best goalies not in the NHL does not make it so...

Well since you are right near the cap and it goes down next year you had to do it now nobody's gonna trade for salary in the offseason

Kipper gets the start. Was confirmed earlier this afternoon. http://www2.dailyfaceoff.com/starting-goalies/

Prediction 4-1 oil. Flames seem to be lost and the oil are playing really well.

Best goalie not in the nhl? Wasn't that Gustavsson's claim to fame a few years ago? Ask toronto and Detroit about that.

Nope, they don't. Rico Fata was gonna be the second coming of Christ according to Flames scouts...how did that work again?

A couple of more 1st round draft picks this, and some clever manipulation at trade deadline, combined with bombing the rest of the season. I could see the Flames manufacturing a senerio much like Vancouver did in 99.

Trade the picks, with a combination of a Glencross type player, for a shot at Mckinnon and Drouin together.....

The only question is are they diligent enough to manufacture something that methodical?

They also will have tonnes of cash to throw at ufa's , especially when Cammelleri and Kipper get dealt....

Finish with a top 5 pick in 2014 as well, and it could be a short turnaround..aka " re tool" ..... maybe 3 years!

Look deep into the eyes of Peter Griffin aka Jay Feester, do you see any savy moves coming? Uh nope!

He let in the same amount of goals that Howard did on Sunday, didn't he?

Don't know if that's a good thing or not

Oilers drafted Jason bonsignore at 4th overall and Steve Kelly pretty high too.

Gotta love how the oilers fans jump all over the beginnings of a rebuild for the flames. After all a rebuild is something they haven't been able to accomplish in 7 years. They ain't makin playoffs this year either.
