Come on, Albertans are all responsible people and wouldn't do that.

Default Zortman Montana fire

I'm sure those people responsible for the fire hightailed it for the border. They are throwing everything they have at the fire. The aircraft and the manpower is incredible and I can only imagine what the cost is especially today July 4

Default Zortman Montana fire

My friend was going up the creek and told them to stop setting off fireworks as they would start a fire. They just laughed at him and sure enough the fire started right where they were camped. The BLM Rangers were asking everybody who was up the creek what went on and they have it narrowed down to them
That's how I know

well whoever it was I hope they catch them. Last year the Roaring Mountain fire it took them a while but they caught them because of a stupid facebook post. Turned out to be a bunch of teenagers. 1 person died, something like 200 houses burned and probably cost 60 million$. Not the scale of Fort Mac but I feel for anyone that has their lives effected by such events.

No fireworks in western US this July 4th. Starting forest fires is not worth the Oh Ah"s. Had a bunch of fools scaring the heck out of our horses at Wabamun lake on Canada Day. Hate to think how many forest fires we would have had if we had dry year.
