Default What’s your Thanksgiving weekend hunting plans?

So what is everyone’s Thanksgiving weekend hunting plans?

My plan was originally to go out to Provost and get 4 days of solid goose hunting in, but as of today everyone has backed out.
Not sure what my plan is now…… It might just be goose hunting around home or bowhunting whitetail does.

Well Saturday and Sunday I am at my cabin NW of town, I plan to look for Whitetails in the mornings and chase after Grouse in the afternoon (assuming the wife doesn’t put me to work). Monday I’m taking my nephew fishing, and the best part I am skipping work on Tuesday and plan to head to my new Mule deer spot and do a third day of hunting.

I've been sitting on a rig for going on 5 weeks. Barring a major disaster I should be outta here in the morning, get home tomorrow night. Got the wife to have Thanksgiving dinner Friday, because on Saturday morning I'm jumping on a horse and heading for the hills. Got sheep, elk, deer and bear tags, and a buddy or maybe two lined up for the trip. Hopefully Thanksgiving day I'm sitting by the fire eating sheep!

My wife and I are taking the week and bow hunting mule deer. No turkey dinner again this year. Maybe some tenderloins though. Sure wish the weather would cool off.

archery moose in 509. went out last weekend. Between the heat and being just not quite the right time all moose weren't moving and the bulls we saw were with cows already and would bairly acknowledge our calls. But this weekend will be perfect. Fingers crossed

You guys SUCK! I hope it rains and snows on you. I hope you all have a crappy weekend hunting, stub a toe and get nine hangnails!

Mrs Tree is hosting this year's giant family dinner, and I can't find my gear anywhere!

Good luck folks and have a very happy Thanksgiving.

I work midnight shifts until Sunday morning....fun!!

I MIGHT sneak out on Monday morning to see about finding an elk or scouting 410 for some camp areas for November. Other than that a day trip for deer with the bow or some birds would be fun, but no firm plans yet!

Default It's a great time for a marathon

Not for me of course. Wife is running in Kelowna so I get to hunt all week-end. Have to parent the dog in the afternoon though so only morning hunts.

I'll be giving thanks that I can hunt this week-end.

Might go partridge hunting on Sunday.... I haven't hunted birds for about 20 years, and I'm looking forward to getting out again.
