Default Home inspector?

I live in an old farm house and lately the the air quality has seems concerning we daily smell the smell of sewage coming out of the furnace vents As well with the moist year we had last year we had some concerns about mold. In the recent week my whole family has felt sick and it's seems different than being sick with the flu. I am wondering if anyone knows a honest and trustworthy home inspector to come by and take a look. Maybe do some air quality test and others test for mold, etc in hopes to see if it is the house that's causing us to feel ill. Thanks for your recommendations.

The city that serves your area will help you get more relevant recommendations. Also, with family members getting sick, it might be worth moving out until the issue is mitigated. Scary things can be borne from mold and sewage.

"Farmland, Alberta" isn't coming up on Google Maps...?

And I hope you get your problems solved, both your health and the house.

Maybe stay in a hotel nearby for a week, or until it's inspected/fixed...

Step #1: Get out of that house!

Do you have a forced air furnace with ductwork that goes under the basement slab?

Have the gas company come and check for leaks. Check all drain pipes and watch for a undersink vent stuck open. If basement damp run a dehumidifier and direct drain it so it runs 24/7. If you rent inform the owner of your actions so he does not think you are railroading him.

There is a old furnace in the basement but I think there is no ductwork under the actually foundation.

Ive used RH Services in edmonton for asbestos, mold and air quality testing with great results.
Both for work and personal.
They are competitively priced and know their stuff.
